Team members and artists that work with us may occasionally have access to other potentially high profile team members, as well as engaging in on and off stage interactions with youth and other vulnerable populations that our community partners serve. It is our highest priority to provide a safe and responsible experience, both for those traveling with us, and for those attending each event.

To ensure we are accomplishing this, and that we are practicing the due diligence our insurance company, team members and local partners expect of us, we are required to facilitate a self funded in house background check of each staff member or artist that we bring with us.

The following is a summary of guidelines we have been given for that background screening:

  • A Background Check is required for all staff members or agents of The Extreme Tour, regardless of position or anticipated length of participation.

  • The focus of the screening is to determine current or historic child abuse or sexual misconduct, criminal records, violent or predatory behavior, for the purpose of maintaining the highest standard of safety for all involved.

  • The Background Check must occur before an applicant may be formally considered for any position or participation in any programming.

  • Written or Digital Consent must be obtained before any background screening occurs and must be self-funded by the primary applicant so as to certify the identity of the applicant providing consent.

  • Individuals who have been convicted of sexual abuse or some other violent or predatory offenses will not be considered qualified for participation.

  • The results of any Background Check or screening will be kept completely confidential and not shared with outside agencies or parties for any reason.

  • All Background Checks must be renewed annually and must be no more than one year old from the date of any projected, or actual, dates of participation.

  • Applicants may be required to provide additional references.

  • This in house process does not include a consumer report or credit check (third-party or otherwise).
